Sedalia Police took a theft report on Wednesday from Break Time, 808 E. Broadway. Video of the incident was provided to police, which included the suspect and a vehicle description.
On Monday, Betty Jo Purvis reported her car was struck by another at K-Mart, 1400 S. Limit after a witness reported the incident to her. Video was provided to police and a suspect was identified. The victim is willing to prosecute and charges are pending, a report said.
On Dec. 8, representatives of the Heard House, 200 W. Broadway, reported someone damage a historic metal fence around the property by driving over it, causing $1,000 of damage. The incident occurred between 4:40 p.m. Dec. 7 and 3 p.m. Dec. 8. There are no suspects.
On Dec. 10, Engenia Tucker reported that someone stole keys from her purse between 2:15 and 3:30 p.m. Dec. 10. The keys were valued at $200, according to a report.
On Dec. 9, Sedalia Police arrested Jessie R. Williams, 27, Sedalia for 1st Degree Peace Disturbance at Jiffy Stop, 1722 W. Broadway, after police responded to a reported robbery. According to a report, the suspect entered the store, approached the clerk and raised up his shirt, exposing a pistol. He then asked the clerk if she thought the pistol was fake or not. The suspect did not take or demand anything, the report noted. He then left the store.
