Sedalia Police arrested 38-year-old Joshua Duane Cochran and 39-year-old Bobbi Jo Thomas, both of Sedalia, after a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to come to a complete stop at a stop sign at 14th and Barrett at 2:57 a.m. Sunday. According to a report, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and observed a marijuana roach in the door panel. A subsequent search revealed 345 grams of meth, 7.4 grams of marijuana, an assortment of controlled pills and a hand gun. Charges include 2nd degree drug trafficking, unlawful possession of a concealable weapon, marijuana and methamphetamine. Both were taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police investigated a rollover accident at 3rd and Ohio Monday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. According to witnesses, a 2002 Toyota Camry was traveling at a high rate of speed south on Ohio from Main and didn't stop for a red light at 3rd and Ohio, where the driver struck another vehicle, knocking it over. A total of four vehicles were involved. Three people were injured. The driver, 25-year-old Brenden W. Licardie of Osage Beach, was arrested and charged with DWI, resisting arrest and tampering with physical evidence. A search warrant was obtained to allow blood testing of the suspect at BRHC, and the suspect fought officers to try and prevent that from happening. Licardie was then taken to the Pettis County Jail.

32-year-old Ashley I. Moore of Sedalia was arrested just west of La Monte by Pettis County deputies on Sunday afternoon after she allegedly left the scene of an accident that occcurred at 13th and Ohio. A witness who heard the crash followed Moore after seeing her leave the area and gave police her license information. Moore was interviewed and admitted to the crime, the report said. She was issued a Municipal citation, booked and released with a court date.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a black Honda SUV at 8:05 p.m. Monday for speeding near Broadway and Crokett. The stop took place at Broadway and Emmet. The driver, 20-year-old Isabella R. Latta of Columbia, was found to be in possession of marijuana. She was issued a Municipal summons with a Feb. 5 court date.


 

On Monday at 3:19 a.m., Sedalia Police arrested 21-year-old Jacob D. Eaton of Sedalia at Grand and Clinton Road. He was a passenger in the vehicle, and was wanted on an FTA Municipal warrant. Eaton was released at the scene on a $60 cash bond.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 30-year-old Vitaliy Nikolay Kyvyrzhik of Pettis County aftre a traffic stop for a license violation. According to a report, Kyvyrzhik refused to stop when the emergency lights were activated and traveled from 7th and Summit to 7th and Brown. He was issued a Municipal summons for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.


 

40-year-old Matthew C. Maggard of Sedalia was arrested after a traffic stop at Main and South Park at 8:55 p.m. Sunday night. A search led to the discovery of marijuana and prescription medication. Maggard was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Hail, where he was booked and released.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a maroon Ford SUV at 18th and Vermont at 9:18 p.m. Saturday night for a stop sign violation. 21-year-old Kayla E. Fletcher of Sedalia was a passenger in the vehicle and she provided false information to the officer, according to the report. She was also in possession of marijuana. Fletcher was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.


 

On Saturday evening around 7:20 p.m. Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Pettis and North Lamine on a silver Chrysler van for a broken tail light cover. A computer check revealed that 19-year-old Eduard Madnov of Pettis County was wanted on a Pettis County warrant for a traffic offense. Madnov was taken to the Pettis County
Jail on a $259 cash bond. He now has a Dec. 17 court date.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 23-year-old Ponciano Antonio Santos of Sedalia, for no valid driver's license after conducting a traffic stop on Dec. 7 around 11 p.m. at 11th and Warren after an officer observed Santos in a silver Dodge Avenger pull off the roadway and back onto the roadway without signaling. He was taken to the SPD where he was booked and released.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 1100 South Limit on a black Chevy pickup with a broken tail light. It was discovered that the driver, 21-year-old Blake Aaron Banner of Hughesville, was driving while intoxicated (prior offender). Banner was taken to the SPD, where he provided a breath sample, then transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

On Friday, Sedalia Police arrested 28-year-old David G. Williams, Jr., of La Monte and 33-year-old Ashton Michael Pullis of Warsaw at 24th and Kentucky at 9:36 p.m. One was wanted on a Pettis County warrant and the other was wanted on a City of Warsaw warrant. Both were taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 1300 block of South Osage at 11:50 p.m. Friday night. 51-year-old Dale Lee Turley of Pettis County was wanted on a Pettis County warrant with a $25,000 cash or surety bond. Turley was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

49-year-old Monica M. Vasquez of Sedalia was cited for Animals Running at Large after Sedalia Police received an animal complaint call from a victim who said her dog was attacked by Vasquez' dog in the 1200 block of South Brown. According to a report, the victim was walking her dog in the street when her dog was attacked by the suspect's dog. A Municipal summons was issued.
