Sedalia Police Reports For December 21, 2021

Early Tuesday morning, Officers stopped a car in the area of Thompson Boulevard and West Broadway Boulevard for failure to dim its headlights, failing to maintain its lane, and improper lane usage by crossing the double yellow line westbound on West Broadway turning into the McDonald's restaurant, 3101 West Broadway Boulevard. A warrant check of the occupant revealed she had warrants from Pawnee, Oklahoma for Failure to Appear on original charges of Obstructing An Officer. Amber Deann McCray, 48, of Green Ridge, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold on a state charge of Fugitive From Justice. Total bond was set at $5,110.50.
On the afternoon of December 16th, Officers were dispatched to Hubbard Park, 601 North Missouri Avenue, for a report of two stolen Pitbull dogs that were valued at $2,000 each. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Maria G. Fernandez. Fernandez stated that she arrived home that afternoon to find her two dogs missing. She stated that she called Animal Control and was informed by them that they had received a phone call about the dogs that afternoon. They had been seen at the Hubbard Park Head Start. Animal Control reportedly called Fernandez and stated they were told someone came and picked up the dogs from the Headstart. Fernandez gave a name of a suspect that was given to her by a staff member at Headstart. At the time of the report, Officers had not been able to make contact with the suspect.
Monday night, Officers responded to the Bothwell Regional Health Center, 601 East 14th Street, in reference to a subject with a possible warrant. The subject was located, and it was confirmed he had an active Probation Violation warrant out of Pettis County on original charges of felony Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree. Samual A. Craig, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where bond was set at $2,000 cash and $2,500 cash or surety.
Sedalia Police responded to the 300 block of North Heard Avenue for a verbal disturbance Monday morning. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that a domestic assault had occurred. There was no further information in the report.
