Sedalia Police reports 12-27-19
On Thursday night at 10:46 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 14th and Carr on a vehicle with no license plate lights. A computer check revealed that the driver, 37-year-old Christopher Danial McKinzie of Sedalia was driving while revoked. He was taken to the SPD, where he was fingerprinted and issued a citation. He now has a Jan. 15 court date.
On Thursday at 7:54 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation at Broadway and Grand. A subsequent search revealed a large amount of methamphetamine, marijuana, pills and a handgun. The driver, 64-year-old Sandra Ann Fitzwater of Lincoln, was arrested and charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of meth and unlawful use of a weapon.
On Thursday at 4:56 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 14th and Ohio for a vehicle that made an improper stop at 16th and Ohio. Also, a 2020 tag on the Ford Taurus did not match the plate. 40-year-old Gregory Hulbert of Sedalia, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and forgery, according to the report. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.
On Thursday at 7:43 p.m., Sedalia Police took a theft report from Verizon, 1800 W. Broadway. According to the report, a white male entered the store around 7 p.m and ripped a Galaxy 10+ from a secured display and ran out the store. The phone was valued at $1099. Video evidence of the crime was given to police.
On Thursday at 11:22 a.m. a woman reported the theft of $100,000 of items from a storage unit at 3505 Green Ridge Road. The theft occurred on Christmas.
