On Sunday, Sedalia Police took a report of a stolen vehicle from a woman who said her car was taken by a known suspect on Saturday. The vehicle was entered as stolen. Later, the vehicle was located near West Pettis and Ohio, and a traffic stop was conducted. The lone occupant of the vehicle was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending the filing of formal charges Arrested was 40-year-old Kevin Allen Clark of Hughesville. He was charged with 1st degree tampering with a motor vehicle, driving while suspended or revoked, 2nd degree property damage and stealing. The victim later took possession of her car.


 

On Saturday, Jennifer Langdon reported to police that she met with a female and three males in the 3100 block of West Broadway to sell them her phone. The female looked through the phone, then drove off in her vehicle, taking the phone with her. A suspect name was given to police.


 

On Sunday afternoon around 4:30 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to a report of gun shots in the 700 block of North Grand. Shell casings were found and placed into evidence. A suspect was not located.


 

On Sunday, a woman reported that significant damage was done to her car while it was parked during her shift at Sylvia Thompson residence Center, 3333 W. 10th. There are no suspects.


 

On Monday afternoon, a woman reported unauthorized transactions were made on her JC Penney credit card totaling over $500. The crime occurred between December 3 and 21. There are no suspects.


 

On Monday night just before 11 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 1601 E. Broadway on a vehicle that failed to signal. A passenger in the vehicle, 33-year-old Renea Elizabeth Boone, was found to be wanted on a Pettis County FTA misdemeanor warrant. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $254.50 cash bond.


 

On Monday at 11:20 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a black Ford Fusion with no license plate lights at 14th and Limit. A computer check revealed that 50-year-old Curtis Wayne Edwards of Pettis County was wanted on a two Benton County warrants. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a total bond amount of $250.


 

On Tuesday at 12:10 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at Motel 6, 3402 W. Broadway, and discovered that 46-year-old John P. Williams was wanted on a felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $7,500 cash or surety bond.
