Sedalia Police reports 12-5-19

Sedalia Police arrested 40-year-old Shawn Raymond Knight after he ran from officers during a traffic stop Wednesday at 12:42 a.m. at 5th and Warren. According to a report, Knight, of Sedalia, was a passenger in the vehicle. He was caught after a brief foot pursuit with 17 grams of meth packaged for sales, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a civil standby at Compass Health, 1700 W. Main just before 2 p.m. Monday. A consent to search led to the discovery of drugs on 34-year-old Andrea Leslie Brown. She was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold. And on Tuesday afternoon, she was accused of stealing $2519.99 of items from the 100 block of South Prospect. Some of the items were recovered.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 24-year-old Maurice J. Byrd, Jr., in the 500 block of North Osage on Tuesday evening during a warrant check. He was wanted on a felony Pettis County warrant. Byrd was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $10,000 cash or surety bond.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 23-year-old Jessica Nicole Campbell in the 1400 block of South Ohio on Monday just before 9 a.m. She was wanted on a felony warrant out of Audrain County. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $5,000 cash bond.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a trespassing call Wednesday at 808 E. Broadway at 5 a.m., and found that 35-year-old Alexander Cole Bradley of Sedalia was wanted on a parole violation. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail with no bond. He was not charged with trespassing.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to stop behind the white traffic line at a stop sign at 16th and Ingram. The stop was made at 16th and Washington. A passenger, 22-year-old Austin Christopher Davis of Pettis County, was wanted on a Pettis County warrant. Davis was taken to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.


 

On Tuesday morning, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a white Toyota for speeding westbound on Broadway at Merriam. The stop took place at Broadway and New York. The officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed that the driver, 19-year-old Arielle T. Brown, was in possession of marijuana. She was issued a Municipal court summons for Jan. 15.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Main and State Fair Blvd., around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday and discovered that 38-year-old Mary Elizabeth Hammerstone of Pettis County was driving while suspended. She was taken to the SPD, where she was issued a citation.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford Freestyle at 4th and Kentucky at 12:52 a.m. Tuesday for a license plate light that was too dim to be seen 50 feet away. A passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. 38-year-old Maria Del Socorro Lowe of Sedalia was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and Warren Monday around 7:40 p.m. The officer detected the odor of marijuana. And a subsequent search revealed that the driver, 31-year-old Roderick Rebato Vose, was in possession of marijuana, methamphetamine and a grinder. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

On Monday just before 11 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration at 27th and Washington for expired registration. A computer check revealed that 21-year-old Danial James Fitzgerald of the 3500 block of South Grand, was wanted on two Municipal warrants, one of which had a $60 bond. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail with a Dec. 18 court date.
