Friday evening, Officers took a report of a theft that occurred at the Save A Lot store, 3040 West Broadway Boulevard the night before. The suspect was located at a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard. She confessed to the theft. Kimberly Marie Hopkins, 51, of Sedalia, was issued a municipal summons for Stealing with a court date.


 

Sedalia Police observed a SUV make a left turn from South Lamine Avenue onto East 5th Street without using a turn signal late Saturday night. A computer check revealed the registration plate did not match the vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted at East 5th Street and South Washington Avenue. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Christian Nicole Conner, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where she provided a breath sample showing her BAC to be above 0.08. Conner was transported to the Pettis County Jail where she was booked on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender), and then released.


 

Early Sunday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle they observed swerving on South Limit Avenue. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. The driver was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained, and the suspect was transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for a blood draw. Cole R. Gruender, 19, of Tipton, was taken to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released. A request for the charge of Driving While Intoxicated was submitted to the prosecutor.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of West 16th Street in reference to a burglary Saturday evening. Officers spoke to Kimberly L. Wilson, who said she saw a suspect coming out of an abandoned house, taking property with them. Officers tried to make contact with the owner, but were unsuccessful. No arrests have been made at this time.


 

Early Saturday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle they observed driving on the wrong side of the road, going eastbound on East 16th Street. Officers made contact with the driver, and during the course of the investigation, it was determined he was intoxicated. The driver was transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center, where a blood draw was conducted. Uriel Estrada, 23, of Sedalia, was then transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs)and released.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of South Ohio Avenue and East 6th Street for a lane violation late Friday night. Contact was made with the occupants of the vehicle and the reason for the stop was explained to them. While at the vehicle, Officers could smell the odor of marijuana. A computer check was completed and Dispatch stated the driver's status was revoked out of Missouri. Rodney D. Ballew, 41, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked. A search of the vehicle revealed drugs. Ballew was taken to the Sedalia Police Department for further investigation into Driving While Intoxicated. Ballew provided a breath sample above the legal limit. Ballew was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released pending charges of Driving While Revoked and Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender).


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the parking lot of the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard. One of the parties had left after exhibiting a weapon during an argument. Investigation identified the suspect, although the victim does not wish to prosecute.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Culligan office, 1220 West Main Street, in reference to an abandoned ATV found on Union Pacific property Saturday afternoon. Upon arrival, Officers discovered several suspicious circumstances that led them to find nearby storage sheds had been broken into, with one missing tools. Another nearby business had pry marks on the back door. It's believed the ATV was used in the commission of these crimes and it was towed from the area. The case remains under investigation.


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle where he believed the driver had an active warrant. The stop was conducted in the area of East Boonville Street and Watson Street. A check through Dispatch showed the driver and the passenger both had active Pettis County warrants with Own Recognizance bonds. Jacob L. Bryan, 27, Homeless, was arrested for his warrant on charges of Trespassing in the 1st Degree, and Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway Without a Valid License. Tammi A Jones, 48, Homeless, was arrested for her warrant for Trespassing in the 1st Degree. Both Bryan and Jones were transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked.


 

Sunday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of East 10th Street for a report of property damage. Officers met with Nathaniel W. Hutchinson, who stated that sometime overnight someone threw a large piece of cement through the sunroof of his vehicle.


 

Sedalia Police made contact with a male subject Sunday morning who reported he had found a license plate. The license plate was discovered to have been stolen in Benton County. Contact was made with the owner, and the license plate was secured into evidence.


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers spoke with a subject in reference to a theft. The victim stated that sometime over weekend, his Polaris ATV had been stolen from beside his residence in the 400 block of East Howard Street. The Polaris was located a short time after the theft.


 

On the morning of November 29th, Officers met with a subject in the lobby of the Police Department who had found a wallet at the intersection of East 13th Street and South Marvin Avenue. The owner of the wallet was contacted, but they have yet to retrieve the wallet as of December 5th. The wallet was placed into evidence for safekeeping.


 

Friday evening, Officers responded to the area of East Broadway Boulevard and Harding Avenue in reference to a hit and run accident. The victim stated they were involved in a collision and the other vehicle left the scene without exchanging information. The other vehicle was later located. Vada Ann Denny, 27, of Smithton, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked pending state charges of Leaving the Scene of an Accident.


 

Sedalia Police stopped a car in the area of 32nd Street and Clarendon for speeding Friday afternoon. Officers recognized the driver to be revoked. Nicholaus Michael Surber, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was impaired by drugs, in possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Surber was taken to a hospital, and then the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released on state charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs), Driving While Revoked, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


 

On the morning of December 1st, Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of West 2nd Street for a violation of a court order incident. The suspect has been identified, and charges are being sought.


 

On the night of November 25th, Officers assisted with a traffic stop on Wilkerson Street near South Harrison Avenue. When Officers arrived, they spoke with the driver. While speaking with the driver, it was determined he was intoxicated. Cody A. Harvey, 29, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. Once at the Police Department, Harvey provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Harvey was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 12 hour protective custody hold. A request for the charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender) has been submitted to the Prosecutor.


 

Friday evening, Officers were dispatched to a reported domestic violence incident that occurred in the 800 block of South Barrett Avenue. The caller stated they were in the 700 block of West 16th Street and would like Officers to respond there to speak. Officers explained the choices the victim had and provided assistance.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 300 block of East Saline Street in reference to a theft Friday evening. The victim stated that someone entered the residence and stole various items. A suspect has been named, but not contacted at this time.


 

Officers responded to the 400 block of West 7th Street in reference to violation of an ex parte order Friday night. The victim stated her ex has been calling and messaging her. The suspect has not been located. State charges are being requested for Violation of Ex Parte.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of East 11th Street for a disturbance. The victim alleged that a juvenile struck her in the face, causing injury. The case is being forwarded to the Juvenile Officer for review.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Bothwell Hospital to speak to a subject about a domestic assault report Saturday morning. Officers met with the victim, who stated that back in September she was assaulted by her boyfriend while she lived in Davenport, Iowa. The subject stated she had already made a report with Davenport Police. Officers will confirm with the Police Department that she made a report.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of South Sneed Avenue in reference to a domestic disturbance. A computer check on one of the subjects revealed they had an active warrant from Pettis County for Amphetamine Possession. When the disturbance was resolved, Elizabeth M. Jones, 22, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Total bond was set at $4500.


 

Officers observed a truck with license plates that expired in March of 2021 Saturday afternoon. The vehicle was pulled over in the area of West 16th Street and South Limit Avenue, and the driver's information was gathered. A Johnson County warrant was discovered and confirmed on the driver. Ivan Ivanovich Petrashishin, 32, of Smithton, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail for his Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Speeding. Bond was set at $300 cash only.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers responded to Bob Taylor's Barber Shop, 1421 South Limit Avenue, in reference to a private property accident. Upon arrival, Officers met with the caller, who explained his parked vehicle was struck on the lot. Information was gathered from both parties involved and no further action was taken.


 

On the afternoon of November 29th, Officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign. The vehicle stopped in the area of East Howard Street and North Hurley Avenue. Officers made contact with the driver, and ran her information through Dispatch. Dispatch stated that the driver had a revoked license. Angela Ilene Teeter, 42, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest for Driving While Revoked and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Teeter was then booked and released.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to a disturbance in the 100 block of West Cooper Street Friday afternoon. One party pulled their pants down, revealing their genitals to the victims. Michele A. Davenport, 54, Homeless, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Davenport was placed on a 24 hour hold pending the filing of charges for Sexual Misconduct Involving a Child, and Sexual Misconduct in the 1st Degree.


 

Officers were dispatched to a home in the 1200 block of East 10th Street for a disturbance Saturday morning. One of the parties involved gave false identifying information to Officers. Pedro Pascual Herrera, 31, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released pending the filing of formal charges of Identity Theft.


 

Saturday morning, an Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of West 24th Street in reference to an injured animal. The animal was determined to be wild and beyond saving. It was humanely euthanized.


 

Friday afternoon a male was observed walking in the middle of the street, which is a violation of City Ordinance 58-543 (Manner of Walking Along Roadway). Officers contacted the subject and after identification, was found to have an active parole violation warrant through the Missouri Department of Probation and Parole. Koehn L. Isenberg, 28, Homeless, was arrested without incident. Isenberg was transported to the Pettis County Jail for processing and held on the no bond warrant.


 

Friday morning, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 1200 block of South Barrett Avenue for having expired registration. A check through Dispatch showed that the driver had an active Failure to Appear warrant issued by the City of Sedalia on original charges of Expired Plates. Erica Jovonta Grant, 31, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was held pending an $89 cash only bond.


 

Last Thursday morning, Officers stopped a vehicle near the intersection of East 13th Street and South Brown Avenue for failing to signal a turn and having a defective brake light. A check of the driver's information showed that their Missouri driving privilege had been suspended. Brook Edwards Dowell, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended. Dowell was booked and released pending the filing of formal charges.
