Sedalia Police reports 1-23-18

On Sunday afternoon, Sedalia Police responded to a peace disturbance call that occurred at Highway 50 & Curry Drive. According to a report, the victim said someone tried to open the driver's door on his semi, and when they couldn't get in, started banging on the door, yelling and cursing about an incident that occurred near Aldi's, Leroy Van Dyke Road and Mitchell around 2:30 p.m. The victim managed to get a photo of the suspect and their vehicle before they left the scene. The suspect has been contacted by police and interviewed. A Municipal Court summons was issued to the suspect for Feb. 21.


 

On Sunday just after 10 p.m., Randy Templemire reported a hit-and-run that occurred at McDonald's, 1611 S. Limit. According to a report, the suspect came into his lane and ran into his vehicle. The suspect then continued north on Limit. The victim tried to catch up to him and in the process, said he ran into the rear end of the suspect's vehicle while attempting to get a license number. The victim tried to talk to the suspect, but they drove off again.


 

On Saturday, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a black Ford F-150 for no front plate at 5th and Brown around 8:38 p.m. But the truck fled the scene and officers pursued. The pursuit ended at Route U and McCormick Road, where the occupants fled the vehicle. State charges are being requested.


 

On Monday, Sedalia Police responded to the 800 block of E. 10th on a disturbance just after 7:30 p.m. According to a report, one subject had multiple injuries to her face. She was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by PCAD for treatment. The other subject involved was located at BRHC, being treated for knife wounds. The incident is under investigation.


 

Michael Vincent Frain, III, Sedalia, was arrested on a no-bond Probation and Parole warrant after Sedalia Police responded to a harassment call in the 800 block of W. 7th. A computer check of the suspect revealed the warrant. Frain was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Gretta E. Lake reported the theft of medications from her purse while at Fitter's, 500 S. Ohio, that occurred on Sunday.


 

On Monday, Grellner, Inc., reported the theft of a ramp riser, valued at $675, from the business at 1510 W. Henry.


 

Rachel L. Glazier reported the theft of a firearm from her unlocked vehicle in the 1300 block of W. 4th that occurred Monday between 10:15 and 11:15 p.m. There are no suspects.
