Wednesday night, Officers were on patrol in the area of East 10th Street and South Emmett Avenue when they recognized a driver of a yellow Chevrolet passenger car to have a suspended license. Officers stopped the vehicle, made contact with the driver and checked through Dispatch to confirm his suspended status. Steven Wayne Bailey, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he was fingerprinted, photographed, and released with a court date.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of East 4th Street for a report of property damage Wednesday morning. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Chad A. Edwards, who stated that sometime that morning, someone flattened ten tires from his and three other vehicles at the residence. Officers took photos of the damage and attached them to the report. The estimated total damage amount was $880. Edwards gave the name of a possible suspect, who had made previous threats. At the time of the report, the suspects had not been located for questioning.


 

Officers were dispatched to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office, 319 South Lamine, for a report of a found key fob Wednesday morning. When Officers arrived, Heather E. Hawkins stated that she had found the fob in the area of the 1200 block of South Barrett. Hawkins left the key fob at the front window, and Police collected the item and placed it into evidence storage.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of West 16th Street for a report of property damage. Jacob Sieckmann stated someone had slashed the tire of his truck, causing $250 in damage. Sieckmann was able to provide a suspect and stated that he would like to press charges.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 500 block of North Grand in regard to a violation of an order of protection Wednesday morning. The victim stated that the suspect had contacted them through Facebook in violation of the order that's in place. The victim stated they would like to pursue charges. The suspect stated that it was not them who made the post, but the explanation given did not make sense. Charges for Harassment and Violation of an Order of Protection have been requested. There was no further information in the report.
