Sedalia Police arrested 27-year-old Ryan M. Weisner of Sedalia after conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle with no front plate at Main and Limit Thursday night around 10 p.m. Weisner was wanted on two Pettis County warrants. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a total bond amount of $9,000.

Sedalia Police arrested 44-year-old Andre Lorenzo Watts in the 1600 block of E. 7th around 10 a.m. Thursday after investigating a motor vehicle accident. Watts was wanted on two warrants out of Minnesota, with full extradition for failure to register as a sex offender and a parole violation. He was also considered a fugitive from justice and was also found to be driving while suspended. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 37-year-old Joseph Elmer Fore of Sedalia after an incident at Break Time, 101 Rebar Road, on Saturday night shortly before 9:30 p.m. According to a report, Fore allegedly broke a bottle of liquor and stole another bottle of liquor, then fled the store. Fore was later located near the store and arrested. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail and charged with 1st degree property damage and shoplifting.


 

31-year-old Guadalupe A. Mendoza of Joplin was arrested by Sedalia Police after they were called to the 400 block of North Osage on an assault around 9 p.m. Saturday. According to a report, a female had minor facial injuries. A computer check revealed that she was wanted on two Municipal warrants. Once she was cleared by paramedics, Mendoza was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 45-year-old Julia Ann Lefevers of Eldon after conducting a traffic stop at 7th and Ohio around 4 p.m. Friday. Lefevers was a passenger in the vehicle, and was wanted on a felony warrant out of Morgan County. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.


 

On Friday, 25-year-old Rodrigo Quetzecua Marcos of Sedalia was arrested at 14th and Ohio after Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop after observing an unrestrained child in the front seat. A computer check revealed Marcos was wanted on two warrants – one was a Municipal warrant for driving while revoked, and the other was a Pettis County warrant for a traffic offense. Marcos was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail. He was charged with driving while revoked and transporting a child without a restraint system. His total bond was $409.50.


 

On Friday, Sedalia Police responded to the 1200 block of South Stewart on a domestic violence call. A charge of endangering the welfare of a child was requested.


 

On Friday around 4:30 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a subject check after receiving a call about two males walking in the 100 block of West Main. One had a handgun and smelled like marijuana. Contact was made at Main and Vermont, and the officer detecetd the odor of marijuana on one of them. A marijuana roach was located as well as a handgun. The roach was recovered, and the hand gun was seized. The man was released from the scene, pending the filing of charges.


 

38-year-old Dianna R. Thigpen was arrested Friday on two FTA Municipal warrants for animal violations, and taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $120 bond. She now has an April 15 court date.


 

38-year-old Randall Aaron Dotson of Sedalia was arrested for a private peace disturbance after he allegedly was banging on doors in the 500 block of E. 13th Friday. He left the area, but was later located in the 1800 block of South Montgomery. He was issued a summons.


 

On Thursday around 6 a.m., 28-year-old Timmy Lee Wood of Sedalia was arrested in the 800 block of West 20th and charged with 4th degree domestic assault after police responded on a disturbance call. He was placed on a 24-hour hold.


 

On March 5 at 2:51 a.m., 19-year-old Ashton A. Dixon of Fort Scott, Kansas was issued a citation for driving while suspended after Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and Winchester. Dixon now has a May 13 court date.


 

On March 5, Sedalia Police were called to the 1400 block of E. 12th on a dead body. The doors were locked and forced entry was made into the residence. A deceased person was found and the county coroner was called to the scene. No foul play is suspected.


 

On March 5, a woman reported that $800 of items were stolen from her vehicle in the 1700 block of South Montgomery.


 

On March 4, Sedalia Police took a report in the 500 block of W. 5th on a disturbance call. A door was damaged ($200) and a suspect who left the scene was later identified. And on March 5 at the same residence, Sedalia Police took a report of a possible rape and sexual abuse. A hotline call was made to the Missouri Department of Social Services.


 

On March 4, Melissa Sue Franken was arrested in the 1300 block of Walker Circle on a Municipal warrant. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $60 bond. She now has an April 1 court date.


 

On March 4, a man reported someone stole the license plate off his vehicle, which was parked on the street next to his house in the 300 block of W. 6th.


 

On March 4, Sedalia Police took a report from Austin Ramirez, who said someone stole his maroon Dodge Ram from the lot at Lowe's, 3811 West Broadway, where he works.


 

On March 3, Sedalia Police arrested 24-year-old Irving Yosimar Catalan Rodriguez at Saline and Buckner after conducting a traffic stop. A computer check revealed he was driving while suspended. He was taken to the SPD for fingerprinting and released with a citation.


 

On March 3, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 16th and Grand on a white Chevy Malibu with no front plate. A computer check revealed the car license expired in March of 2019, and the rear plate had a 2020 sticker placed on it that belonged to another vehicle. That plate was seized and placed into evidence.


 

On March 2, a woman reported the theft of her cell phone while at WalMart, 3201 W. Broadway, March 1. The phone was valued at $1,099. There are no suspects.


 

On Feb. 27 at 4:50 a.m., Sedalia Police took a property damage report in the 700 block of E. 14th in which a car window was broken out. Suspect information was gathered.
