Sedalia Police reports 9-26-16

Melissa Sue Franken, 32, Sedalia, was arrested by Sedalia Police after officers contacted three individuals at the Plaza car Wash, 300 E. 16th on Saturday morning. Franken was wanted on a Pettis County Warrant. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $1,500 bond with a court date of Oct. 11.

Angelia R. Asbury, 41, Sedalia, was arrested Friday afternoon after a traffic stop at Third and Washington. She was issued a citation and released with a court date of Oct. 19.

Anthony J. Neland, 27, Independence, was arrested on a Pettis County warrant at Fav Trip, 216 W. Broadway, on Sunday morning. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $150 bond.

Shamikka M. Rice, 25, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop at Main and State Fair Blvd., Saturday afternoon. Rice, who was also issued a citation for no registration, was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a court date of Oct. 12.

Elena G. Hickman, 49, Sedalia, was arrested for shoplifting a 1.75-liter bottle of McCormick vodka, valued at $18, from a store in the 700 block of E. Broadway, on Sunday afternoon. She was later located and placed on a 24-hour hold, with a court date and bond to be announced.

Joel Mason Burrows, 33, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop at Broadway and Sneed Sunday morning. Burrows was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released.

Police took a damage report from a victim who left their car parked overnight near the Skate Park at Katy Park. Brandon Baker, Sedalia, reported that the theft ocurred between Sept. 25 and 25. Taken were a stereo, amplifier and speakers, and there was damage to the front and rear windshields as well as the paint on his car. There are no witnesses or suspects in the case.

Police took a burglary report in the 1200 block of S. Kentucky Sunday morning. Taken were multiple items, collectively valued at $440. There are no suspects in the case.

Police took a theft report Friday of a bicyle stolen from an apartment at 3100 Brianna. There are no suspects.

Police took a theft report from Sedalia Automative, 2101 S. Limit, on Friday morning. Someone stole four tires and rims from a vehicle, valued at $1,800. There are no suspects in the case.

Sprint, 1708 W. Broadway, reported to police on Saturday that someone shattered a window at the business, and two other windows had two small holes in them. Police suspect the glass was broken by a BB or pellet gun.

A woman reported that a laptop valued at $500, was stolen from her home in the 1300 block of E. 3rd on Friday. When she returned home, she found the front door open and the laptop missing.

A cell phone was found in the 2300 block of Washington and turned into police on Saturday morning.

Police took a hit-and-run report on Friday that occurred at Broadway and Mildred.
