Sedalia Police arrested 38-year-old Kirk Alexander Riley of Sedalia for 3rd degree domestic assault after officers were sent to the 900 block of South Vermont on a domestic violence call Friday just before 7 a.m. According to a report, Riley allegedly struck the victim, causing injury. Riley was also wanted on a $5,000 felony Saline County warrant for marijuana possession. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of formal charges.
On Saturday, Sedalia Police responded to Fitters, 500 South Ohio, on a call of a vehicle that damaged a building at 111 W. 5th. The suspect was later located and was found to be intoxicated. 32-year-old Jerid Dante Booze was arrested at 4:29 a.m. in the 3600 block of Woods Court and charged with DWI and felony leaving the scene of an accident. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released to a sober person.
On Friday at 6:30 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 700 block of State Fair Blvd. According to a report, neighbors were having issues over loud music, which led to wall banging, which led to several small ceramic figurines being knocked off the wall in one apartment and damaged. 26-year-old Shawona C. Dean was issued a Municipal summons with a Dec. 18 court date.
On Friday around 8:15 p.m. Sedalia Police arrested 31-year-old Joshua R. Hufles of Knob Noster for driving while suspended after conducting a traffic stop at Broadway and Hancock. Hutfles was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released with a Dec. 18 court date.
On Saturday at 12:04 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and Lamine and discovered that 41-year-old Javier Luna of Sedalia was driving without a valid operator's license. Luna was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop Saturday at 4 p.m. near Liberty Park on a vehicle with a license issue. A computer check revealed that 22-year-old Miya F. Harlin of Marshall was wanted on a Marshall PD warrant for assault. She was taken into custody and transferred to the Marshall Police Department.
On Saturday night just before midnight, Sedalia Police checked on a vehicle that was improperly parked at Main and Washington. The driver, 20-year-old Maria F. Almazon of Sedalia, was wanted on a Pettis County warrant for a traffic violation. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 4150 cash bond. Her court date is TBA.
On Saturday around 8 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Emmet and Harvey and found that the driver, Karl L. Buettner of Sedalia, was wanted on two Municipal warrants. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a total bond of $120. he now has a Dec. 4 court date.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 4 a.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of Bristol Lane on a vehicle with plates that belonged to another vehicle. A computer check revealed that 24-year-old Maria Guadalupe Hernandez of Sedalia was wanted on three Municipal warrants for a traffic offense. Her total bond amount was $180.
Sedalia Police arrested 27-year-old Brian Lee Wilson of Sedalia for DWI after he was located near Big Lots, 3125 W. Broadway, and found to be highly intoxicated and disoriented at 3:03 a.m. Friday. Wilson was taken to the SPD, then on to the Pettis County Jail, where he was charged with DWI and later released to a sober person.
On Saturday afternoon, a woman reported the theft of her step ladder from the 1700 block of W. 18th.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle bearing plates that belonged to another vehicle at Liberty Park Blvd., and South Park at 2:20 p.m. Friday. 27-year-old Enrique Serna Canseco of Sedalia was found to be driving while revoked. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
On Friday afternoon, a woman reported a hit-and-run that occurred at Golden Corral, 2004 W. Broadway. A witness gave the woman the licsne number of the suspect vehicle, which was not yet located at the time of the report.
On Nov. 14, Sedalia Police arrested 22-year-old Nadelene Mesekyin the 2300 block of North Wodlawn Drive. She was wanted on two FTA Municipal warrants with a total bond of $120. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
