Sedalia Police reports 11-21-19

Sedalia Police responded to a report of gun shots in the 200 block of West 7th around 10 a.m. Thursday. Contact was made with a witness, who said a male fired shots from a moving vehicle at another male in a parking lot. The shooter was identified, located and arrested. 19-year-old Brandon Michael Lynch of Sedalia was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and 1st degree assault. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges.


 

On Thursday at 1:45 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and Mildred on a vehicle with a tail light out. A computer check revealed that the driver, 19-year-old Branden A. Williams of Pettis County, was wanted on a Benton County warrant with a $200 cash or surety bond. A subsequent search found that he was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Williams was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released on the Municipal charge with a Jan. 8 court date.


 

On Wednesday morning, Mark Buckley reported the theft of an orange concrete pumpkin, valued at $40, from his front yard in the 1300 block of Maple Lane, There are no suspects.
