On Monday at 2:07 a.m., Sedalia Police took a property damage report from Erika Bom, who reported that at 2 a.m., she was awakened by the sound of glass shattering. She then walked through her home and noticed a large window in her home was busted out. There was no suspect at the time of the report.


 

On Sunday at 8:44 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a speeding car at Broadway and Kentucky. The vehicle had no front plate and was improperly registered. The driver, 39-year-old Eric Pearson of Sedalia, was found to be intoxicated. Pearson was arrested for driving while intoxicated, taken to the SPD, processed and released to a sober person. A charge of DWI was requested.


 

On Sunday at 1:10 a.m., Sedalia Police observed a vehicle traveling down the center of the roadway and then make an improper turn. A traffic stop was made and an investigation determined that the driver, 35-year-old Regiena Louis Brennan of Sedalia, was impaired and under the influence. Brennan was placed under arrest for DWI and transported to the SPD, where she was processed, booked for DWI, Improper Lane Usage, No Proof of Insurance and released to a sober person.


 

On Sunday, Sedalia Police took a report of an abandoned bicycle in the 400 block of North State Fair Blvd. The bike was collected and placed into found property.


 

Sedalia Police took a hit-and-run report at Kohl's, 4300 Wisconsin, at 3:34 p.m. Sunday. The victim noticed damage to her 2014 Ford Focus on the passenger side rear bumper when she returned to her vehicle after shopping. The incident is under investigation.


 

Sedalia Police took a found property report on Sunday in the 400 block of East Chestnut regarding a bicycle that had been left near the street at a residence for several days. The bike was placed into the SPD's found property area.


 

On Friday, Sedalia Police took a vandalism report in the 1600 block of South Osage. Someone fired paintballs at a residence and damaged the siding.


 

On Sunday afternoon, someone turned in a wallet found on South Limit near Country Club Blvd. The owner of the wallet was contacted and the wallet was placed into evidence until the owner can come pick it up.


 

On Saturday night, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired plates at 7th and Montgomery. The driver, 23-year-old Chandra J. Ford of Sedalia, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Needles with meth and also marijuana were located in an area close to and easily accessible to three small children in the vehicle. Ford was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. She was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending charges of three counts of child endangerment, two counts of introduction of a controlled substance into a jail facility, possession of meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.


 

On Saturday at 11:43 p.m., Sedalia Police observed a driver operating a vehicle who was known to be revoked. A traffic stop was conducted at 9th and Emmet and a computer check confirmed that the driver, 44-year-old Carrie Lynn Wilcox of Sedalia, was indeed revoked. Wilcox was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.


 

On Saturday at 3:48 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and Arlington. Following a brief roadside discussion, the driver, 19-year-old Isaiah B. McNeil of Sedalia, was arrested for driving while revoked. McNeil was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released, pending a state charge of driving while revoked.


 

On Saturday, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a gray Chevy Impala in the 200 block of East Boonville for expired registration. The officer reported detecting the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver handed the officer a THC Dab substance and other smoking-related paraphernalia that the driver had inside the vehicle. The officer seized the items, which were placed into evidence to be destroyed. No charges were sought.


 

On Saturday afternoon, Sedalia Police responded to 1002 E. 13th for a burglary report. The victim reported that several items were taken from his garage within the past week. Entry was not forced, according to the report and the garage was not locked. Taken were a silver men's Specialized 18-speed bicycle, valued at $500, and an orange two-wheeled dolly valued at $50.


 

On Saturday afternoon, Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check 2008 E. 15th and contacted 40-year-old Timothy J. Coterel and ran his information through Joint Communications. A Pettis County warrant for violation of a court order was confirmed, and Coterel was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

On Friday morning, Sedalia Police took a report of an attempted burglary at Discount Smokes and Liquor, 2610 West Broadway. An employee reported that sometime between 3:14 and 3:17 a.m., three males were seen on surveillance footage trying to break open a drive-through window on the east side of the building, using a large rock. Police watched the video and took photos of the scene. The evidence was forwarded to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crime lab for processing. The suspects had not yet been located at the time of the report.


 

Sedalia Police took a theft report from Cenex Gas Station, 120 E. 16th, on Friday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. The business reported that money was stolen by the suspect, 39-year-old Chrissy Ann Donaldson of Sedalia. Donaldson was at the business at the time the report was taken, and was arrested and issued a Municipal summons for stealing.


 

On Friday at 3:27 p.m., Sedalia Police took a theft report in the 600 block of South Missouri. A debit card was stolen from a residence and $2,962 in unauthorized charges were made on the card. The suspect was not located at the time of the report.


 

On Friday, Sedalia Police took a report of unwanted text messages being received by a juvenile by phone.


 

On Friday at 10:41 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance at 715 E. Broadway. A computer check revealed that 32-year-old William J. Thompson of Sedalia was wanted on Pettis County warrant with a $1500 cash or surety bond. Thompson was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Saturday at 12:18 a.m., Sedalia Police observed a car westbound on Broadway at about Industrial Drive, exhibiting signs of an intoxicated driver traveling under the speed limit, and unnecessary braking. The car also had no working license plate lights. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver, 34-year-old Andra M. Pardoe of Tipton, was found to be intoxicated. Pardoe was taken into custody and transported to the SPD, where she was later released with a Municipal summons for driving while intoxicated.


 

On Saturday at 1:44 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on an SUV at 24th and Massachusetts for several violations. An investigation determined that the driver, 24-year-old Kortney Suzette Kreisler of Sedalia, was intoxicated. Kreisler was taken into custody and taken to the SPD, and later released to a sober person after being issued citations for speeding 15 mph over the limit, DWI and no proof of insurance.


 

On Friday at 9:43 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to a report of a person passed out in their vehicle at 5th and Vermont. Investigation revealed that the driver, 31-year-old Juvintino Brenden Martinez of Sedalia, was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Martinez was placed under arrest and taken to the SPD for processing, then on to the Pettis County Jail for a 24-hour hold for driving while intoxicated, persistent offender.


 

On Friday night around 10:50 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to Econolodge, 3501 W. Broadway, on a domestic disturbance no longer in progress. A subject said he got into a verbal argument with his girlfriend, and she threw a phone at his head. The girlfriend stated that the argument was physical and claimed her boyfriend threw the phone at her. No injuries were observed on either party and a primary aggressor could not be determined, so a 12-hour log was created to document the incident.


 

On Friday at 6:45 p.m., Sedalia Police took a report of a burglary not in progress in the 600 block of Wilkerson. A resident was moving out of his apartment when he noticed his gun was missing. There are no suspects.


 

Sedalia Police took a found property report Friday concerning a check from Liberty Utilities that was made out to a subject. The check was found near 7th and Osage. The check was placed into evidence as found property until the owner can be contacted.


 

On Nov. 22, Sedalia Police responded to 24th and New York on a report of a raccoon charging cars. Animal Control Officer Schneider later arrived and was able to capture the raccoon in a live trap. The ACO advised SPD that the animal was sick and requested that it be put down. The raccoon was let out in a safe area near the Animal Shelter and was put down by the officer's duty weapon. The Animal Shelter sent the raccoon to be tested for rabies.


 

On Nov. 18, Sedalia Police responded to Auto Masters, 2200 West Main, for a theft report. Items valued at around $900 were taken from a vehicle parked on the lot. Several gas caps of other vehicles were opened, but it was unknown if any fuel was stolen. There were no suspects.


 

On Friday at 4:36 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to Goody's Steakburgers, 901 South Limit, for a burglary. The complainant said that the front glass door of the business was damaged and property was taken. Suspects were not identified at the time of the report.


 

On Friday morning, Sedalia Police spoke with Marshall Police, which asked for assistance with obtaining suspect information concerning stolen checks that had been forged and later deposited into a Central Bank checking account in Sedalia.


 

On Wednesday just before 11 p.m., Sedalia Police observed a silver Cadillac swerving as it was traveling on South Lamine. A traffic stop was conducted at Broadway and Lamine. Investigation revealed that the driver, 33-year-old Destin T. Woods of Sedalia, was intoxicated. Woods was arrested and taken to the SPD, where he refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained and a blood draw was conducted. Woods was then transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 12-hour probable cause hold. Police requested a charge of driving while intoxicated prior offender.


 

On Thursday, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with windows tinted beyond the legal limit at 9th and Vermont. During the course of an investigation, it was determined that the driver, 35-year-old Desmond L. Ellis of Sedalia, was intoxicated. Ellis was arrested and taken to the SPD, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Ellis was then taken to the Pettis County Jail for a 12-hour hold. A charge of driving while intoxicated persistent offender was requested.


 

On Thursday just after 3 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 18th and Ingram on a speeding vehicle. Investigation revealed that the driver, 23-year-old Omar Lemus Rodriguez of La Monte, was intoxicated. Rodriguez was taken to the SPD, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Rodriguez was then taken to the Pettis County Jail for a 12-hour hold. A request for driving while intoxicated prior offender, was requested.


 

On Thursday around 7 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to a hit-and-run accident at Break Time, 318 W. Broadway. The victim said that while pumping gas, another vehicle hit hers, then left the scene.


 

On Wednesday at 6 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to WalMart, 3201 W. Broadway, for a hit-and-run report. No suspects were identified.


 

On Wednesday at 9:44 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to WalMart, 3201 W. Broadway, for a physical disturbance. Officers identified all parties involved, and 22-year-old Maria G. Arechiga of Sedalia, and 18-year-old Cynetta Ann Casey, were arrested for peace disturbance and issued a citation with a court date.


 

On Thursday, Sedalia Police responded to the 400 block of North Missouri for a report of a death. Officers found the deceased in their home. No foul play is suspected.


 

On Nov. 19, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 20th and Limit on a speeding vehicle. Investigation revealed that the driver, 51-year-old Jarrod Stephen Schantz of Fort Branch, Indiana, was intoxicated. Schantz was arrested and taken to the SPD, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Schantz was then taken to the Pettis County Jail for a 12-hour hold. A request for driving while intoxicated, prior offender, was requested.


 

On Wednesday just before 9 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at Chez When, 121 E. 3rd, and made contact with 50-year-old Darrick Lamount Green of Sedalia. Green was wanted on two Pettis County warrants (DWI and DWS). The warrants were confirmed and Green was arrested, taken to the Pettis County and booked on the warrants. His total bond was $50,000 cash or surety.


 

On Thursday afternoon, Sedalia Police took a found property report in the 1300 block of East Broadway. The caller said he found a bag containing a lockbox full of keys. There was nothing in the box that indicated who the owner was. The box was placed into found property.


 

On Thursday afternoon, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a subject inside wanted on a felony warrant. A computer check revealed that 33-year-old Jeremy Lynn Edgar of Sedalia, was wanted on an active Callaway County felony warrant with a $500 cash-only bond. Edgar was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Thursday around 1:50 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on an SUV for expired registration at 17th and Missouri. A computer check revealed that 26-year-old Sterling S. Fitts of Sedalia, was driving while suspended. Fitts was taken into custody and transported to the SPD, where he was given a Municipal ticket for driving while suspended. His court date is Dec. 27.


 

Sedalia Police assisted the Saline County Children's Division in the 2000 block of E. 7th on Wednesday.


 

On Wednesday morning, Sedalia Police took a property damage report in the 1000 block of E. 11th. The victim said his house was shot with a paintball gun. While at the scene, the officer found that another residence in the area was also shot with a paintball gun.


 

On Wednesday, Sedalia Police took a report of a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of West 5th. Each subject claimed the other assaulted them. A 12-hour log was completed.


 

On Wednesday afternoon, Sedalia Police took a theft report at Sutherland's, 3808 South Limit. Two males and two female suspects entered the store and left without paying for items. The suspects were confronted and the items were recovered. The suspects fled from the area.


 

On Thursday, Sedalia Police conducted a vehicle stop in the 200 block of West Broadway after it drove across private property in order to avoid a traffic light. A computer check of the passenger revealed that 27-year-old Zachary L. Denny of Sedalia, was wanted on a Pettis County warrant for 3rd degree assault and 2nd degree property damage. The warrant had a $5,000 cash or surety bond. Denny was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Thursday morning, Sedalia Police took a theft report in the 500 block of South Grand. The victim said that overnight, the catalytic converter was stolen from his vehicle.


 

On Thursday morning at 7:35 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle missing a front plate at 2nd and Moniteau. A computer check revealed that the driver, 45-year-old Mose K. Watson of Sedalia, did not have a valid driver's license. Watson was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked.


 

On Wednesday morning, Sedalia Police took a theft report. The complainant said that someone took a projector from his front lawn that was part of his Christmas decorations. There is video footage of the incident.


 

On Nov. 21, Sedalia Police took a theft report at WalMart, 3201 W. Broadway. The officer met with one of the subjects, 42-year-old Jeremy Dean Turley of Smithton, and he admitted to having a small amount of marijuana on him. A search of Turley revealed methamphetamine and Clonazepam in his possession. Turley was placed under arrest and taken to the Pettis County Jail. Charges of possession of a controlled substance and marijuana were being sought.


 

Sedalia Police took a theft report on Wednesday evening from a woman who said that her vehicle was entered and a purse containing numerous items was stolen while her car was parked at 1716 W. 9th Street. A suspect was not identified.


 

On Wednesday at 5:11 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to 721 W. 3rd for a trespassing complaint. Contact was made with three individuals who were found to be trespassing on the property. One of them, 26-year-old Brittany M. Hall of Sedalia, was wanted on a Pettis County warrant. All three were formally trespassed from the property and no criminal charges were pursued. Hall was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a $5,000 cash or surety bond. She now has a Dec. 21 court date.


 

On Wednesday afternoon, Sedalia Police, along with Sedalia Animal Control, responded to the 900 block of Harrison for an animal complaint. Animal Control seized 13 dogs from the residence. A Children's Division Hotline report was also submitted by SPD.


 

On Wednesday morning, Sedalia Police took a found property report. A bicycle was located near a ditch at Centennial Park and brought to the SPD. The bike was entered into evidence.

On Nov. 21 at 2:54 p.m., Sedalia Police took a theft report at Walmart, 3201 W. Broadway. The suspects were intercepted on their way out of the store and issued a court summons for stealing. The stolen items were recovered and returned to the store. Arrested was 42-year-old Angie L. Wirtz of Smithton.


 

On Nov. 21 at 3:52 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 6th and Emmet on a car with expired registration. A computer check revealed that the driver (not identified in the report) was suspended. The driver was released at the scene, but a state charge of driving while suspended was submitted to the prosecutor.


 

On Nov. 24, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a truck with a trailer and no trailer plate near 6th and Vermont. A computer check revealed that the driver, 49-year-old Louis Henry Tuck, II, of Sedalia, was driving while revoked. Tuck was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Nov. 24, Sedalia Police issued a trespass summons to 64-year-old Anthony W. Moon of Sedalia after receiving a complaint from Leaf and Limb Drop-off attendants. Moon had previously caused problems at the site and was advised not to return. Moon was located in the 1900 block of South Grand. The summons was issued in lieu of an arrest. Moon now has a court date for Jan. 10.


 

On Nov. 24, Sedalia Police took a hit-and-run report at 3400 W. Broadway. Employees said that an electrical box belonging to Evergy on the west side of the building was damaged by a vehicle. The driver left the area without reporting the damage. There were no suspects identified at the time of the report.


 

On Nov. 25, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle at Driftwood and Clinton Road. A computer check revealed that the driver, 57-year-old Thomas Russell Beck, was driving while suspended. Beck was issued a Municipal summons with a Dec. 27 court date and released.


 

On Nov. 23 at 11:04 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for moving violations and the plates returning “not on file.” The driver had a strong odor of intoxicants on his breath, and appeared and sounded intoxicated. He was taken to the SPD, and after further investigation, was released. No criminal charges were filed.
