
Sedalia Police Reports for October 23, 2024
On Tuesday evening at 6:06 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop for a registration violation at South Limit and South Limit Court. The driver’s license was found to be currently revoked, and 19-year-old Donnie Dean Wiser of Warsaw, was arrested without incident. He was later released with a citation, pending a December court date.
On Wednesday at 1:50 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near Broadway and Quincy on a speeding vehicle that failed to maintain its lane, and failed to stop behind the stop line at a red traffic light. Investigation revealed that the driver, 47-year-old Stephanie L. Flick of Sedalia was arrested for driving while intoxicated. She was processed and released with a Municipal summons.
On Wednesday at 12:15 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot at 3100 West Broadway. The occupants were found to be minors in possession of alcohol. 20-year-old Allie E. Hayes of Sedalia and 19-year-old Bryce D. Martin of Stover, both face charges of minor in possession of alcohol. Martin also faces a charge of vehicle to be driven carefully.
Sedalia Police took a report of an animal bite on Tuesday at Bothwell Regional Health Center. The bite happened in the 4100 block of West Broadway.
On Monday around 2 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to a large retail chain at 3201 West Broadway, for a theft report. The suspect left the store, but officers were able to later locate him and arrested 75-year-old Gary Eugene Nickerson of Pettis County after a traffic stop. Nickerson allegedly left the store without paying for $168 worth of merchandise. All of the merchandise was recovered, according to the report. Nickerson was issued a citation for stealing and released on scene.
Sedalia Police took a report of a found wallet at a hardware store located at 4400 Wisconsin Ave. The owner of the wallet was identified through their Missouri driver’s license, but police were unable to locate or contact the owner. The wallet was logged and entered into evidence for safekeeping until the owner comes and claims it.
