Sedalia Police reports 10-30-19

Sedalia Police arrested 39-year-old Jeremy James Fox of Sedalia in the 1300 block of South Moniteau on Tuesday night after officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Fox was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of charges for 3rd degree domestic assault.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 53-year-old Donald Allday in the 1300 block of E. Boonville on Monday morning after conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle bearing plates that checked to another vehicle. A computer check revealed Allday was wanted on two Platte County warrants with an $880 total bond, and a DeKalb County warrant with a $252 bond. He was also driving while revoked. Allday was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 31-year-old Barry D. Simmons at Motel 6, 3402 W. Broadway, on Monday afternoon. Simmons was wanted on a Pettis County warrant for possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $7,500 cash or surety bond.


 

Sedalia Police took a report from a man in the 500 block of W. 6th who said his car was just stolen just before 5 a.m. Tuesday. According to the report, the keys to the vehicle were left inside the unlocked vehicle, which was parked on the street. The victim wants to pursue charges, the report said.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 40-year-old Judith Mary Copper for driving while revoked after conducting a traffic stop at 16th and Clarendon just after 8 p.m. Monday night. Copper was taken to the SPD, where she was booked and released with summons.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 21-year-old Kenneth Edward Paul Shultz of Sedalia at 16th and Hancock after conducting a traffic stop around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Shultz was one of two occupants in the vehicle, and was wanted on a Municipal warrant for stealing. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $60 bond.


 

On Tuesday night , Sedalia Police seized license plates after stopping a vehicle at 19th and Thompson Avenue. The plates belonged to an individual who no longer owns the car, the report said. The plates were placed into SPD's Property.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 21-year-old Shane Robert Lynch for driving while suspended after conducting a traffic stop on a truck with no front plate at Broadway and Montgomery. Lynch was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

On Monday morning, a woman reported someone entered her unlocked car and stole a wallet in the 1300 block of E. 4th. The victim is willing to assist with prosecution.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Washington and Jefferson around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday for expired registration. 28-year-old David Shadale Cason of Sedalia was found to be driving while revoked. He was released from the scene with a Municipal summons.


 

On Tuesday evening, a man turned in a handgun that had reportedly fallen out of a vehicle by Big Lots, 3125 W. Broadway. After confirming that the handgun was not stolen, it was placed into SPD's found property.

On Tuesday, Sedalia Police served a Pettis County inmate with two Municipal warrants with a total bond amount of $60. 25-year-old Paige N. Wiskur of Sedalia now has a new court date of Nov. 27.

On Wednesday morning at 8:15, Sedalia Police contacted 35-year-old Nichole C. Paxton and served her with a Municipal warrant with a $60 bond. She now has a Nov. 6 court date.
