Early Tuesday morning, a car was stopped in the intersection of southbound South Engineer and East 16th Street. The driver had made a wide turn into a driveway, failing to maintain the right half of the roadway. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. James Junior Baker, 21, of Smithton, was arrested, transported to the Sedalia Police Department Headquarters. Baker was then transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on state charges of Driving While Intoxicated and No Proof of Insurance, pending release to a sober person.


 

Monday afternoon, Donald Waltameyer reported a firearm stolen from his residence in the 2100 block of East Broadway Boulevard. Waltameyer said the firearm was stolen within the last two months, valued at $285.00. At the time of the report, there were no suspects.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Menards store, in the 4400 block of Wisconsin Avenue Monday afternoon in regards to a subject trespassing. The subject had been previously trespassed from the store. Emery Nicole Shipley, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released for Trespassing in the 1st Degree.
