The Sedalia STING Unit arrested 28-year-old John Hughes, 33-year-old Peter Vratney and 33-year-old Kathleen Heskett yesterday morning (May 28), after a no-knock, narcotics-related search warrant.
The Sedalia Police, Detectives, K9 Unit, Pettis County Deputies and detectives went to 3138 Elsie Drive and found methamphetamine, marijuana, packaging supplies for drug sales and drug-related paraphernalia. Officers also located a defaced .410 gage shotgun and ammo for various calibers of firearms. Sedalia Police also discovered that meth was being distributed from the residence.

Hughes was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail and faces charges of distribution of meth, manufacture/distribution of drug paraphernalia, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a defaced firearm.

Vratney was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail and faces charges of possession of meth and drug pararphernalia and was found to have two warrants for burglary in the 2nd and possession of drug paraphernalia, total bond set at $7,500 cash/surety.

Heskett was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail and faces charges of possesion of methamphtamine and drug paraphernalia and found to have a warrant for fraud/passing bad checks, bond set at $2,500 cash/surety.
