
Traffic Stop by Sedalia Police Yields to Felony Arrest
On Friday afternoon at 1:06 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and State Fair Boulevard on a vehicle with obstructed vision.
A K-9 unit was deployed, which alerted to illegal contraband within the vehicle.
The passenger, 40-year-old David Jakie Wayne Peak, was placed under arrest for unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a firearm while intoxicated and resisting arrest.

Peak was also wanted parole warrant, as well as a warrant with a $15,000 cash or surety bond for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
His court date is Oct. 28.
