A Sedalia woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Sunday afternoon in Lafayette County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2015 Ford Fiesta driven by 27-year-old Elizabeth D. Martin of Sedalia, was attempting to merge from the shoulder of I-70 at the 58.2 mile marker (Concordia) at 3:49 p.m., when the vehicle struck a westbound 2020 International driven by 46-year-old Christopher B. Badigian of Tukwila, Washington.

Martin suffered minor injuries, and was transported by ambulance to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

The International had minor damage, while the Ford had extensive damage.
