Miranda Belles came to the ballpark and meant business on Thursday, driving five on three hits to lead the Lady Grems past Stover 17 -2.

Belles drove in runs on a single in the first and a double in the third.

The Lady Gremlins secured the victory thanks to 11 runs in the first inning. Veronica Vanegas, Blaise Wilt, Emily McDonald, Summer Caton, Belles and Vanegas powered the big inning with RBIs.

Maria Mergen led things off in the circle for SH. She allowed three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out one.

The Lady Gremlins tallied 10 hits on the day. Vanegas, Belles, and Claire Smeltzer all collected multiple hits for SH. Vanegas went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead SH in hits. The Lady Grems tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Belles led the way with three.

Sacred Heart plays Smithton (10-7) Monday in the first round of the Class 1, District 15 Tournament.
