A Slater woman was injured in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred Thursday afternoon Saline County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound 2019 Dodge Journey, driven by 38-year-old Leslie A. Cortex of Slater, slowed down to turn into a residence on Missouri 240, just after 290th Road at 4 p.m., when a westbound 2007 Chevy Cobalt, driven by 18-year-old Jenna Y. Hill of Slater, could not stop in time and slammed into the rear of the Dodge.

Cortex suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for treatment. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Hill was reportedly uninjured, and was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

Both vehicles had moderate damage. The Cobalt was towed from the scene, while the Journey was secured at the residence.
