Smith-Cotton Tigers Homecoming weekend activities kick-off this Friday!

There are several activities and events associated with homecoming this year.

Beginning at 11:00 Friday morning, the Sedalia School District Foundation will host the Distinguished Alumni Ceremony in the Heckart Performing Arts Center at S-C High School. A graduate from the class of 1972, Mary McClure, will be honored as this year's distinguished alumni.

At 3:00 Friday afternoon, the Student Council Homecoming Parade will take place in Downtown Sedalia. Then at 5:00, SSDF will throw a Tailgate Party at the Smith-Cotton High School gym.

The main-event begins at 7:00 that evening, as the Smith-Cotton Tigers football team takes on Clinton High School for this year's homecoming game!

The fun continues Saturday morning from 7:30 - 9:30, as SSDF will have a pancake and sausage breakfast at the Smith-Cotton Junior High cafeteria. Tickets can be purchased for $4.00 in advance, by calling 829-2562. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $5.00, with school tours available. Sedalia 200 says that entertainment will be provided by Future Alumni.

And from 9:30 - 11:00 Saturday morning, everyone is invited back to S-C High School for a tour and learn about 'Leaving a Legacy.'

There are several class reunions planned around homecoming, as well. The classes of 1947, 1956, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, and 2007 will be in town.

Beau Matthews will have the play-by-play and pregame show, beginning at 6:40. You can listen live on 92.3 BOB FM and online at 923bobfm.com.
