SPD Investigating Fatal Crash at Broadway & State Fair Boulevard

On Thursday around 6:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to Broadway and State Fair Boulevard for a motor vehicle crash with injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed that an eastbound 2014 Dodge Challenger was in the process of turning left from Broadway onto State Fair when it collided with a westbound 2013 Ducati motorcycle.

The driver of the Ducati, a 19-year-old male from Sedalia, was ejected during the collision. He was transported by PCAD to an area hospital but later died as a result of his injuries.

The driver of the Dodge, a 61-year-old male from Sedalia, did not report any injuries.

The circumstances of the crash are under investigation by Sedalia Police, and witnesses to the crash are encouraged to contact the SPD’s Traffic Unit at (660) 826-8102.
