Police in St. Louis say a 19-year-old woman riding a bicycle on Interstate 170 died early Monday in a hit-and-run crash.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 19-year-old Sha'leah Hamblin, of St. Louis, was riding a bike in a northbound lane of I-170 around 12:20 a.m. Monday when she was hit from behind by a vehicle. Police say the vehicle did not stop.

Hamblin died at the scene. Investigators say she was not wearing at helmet at the time of the crash.

Clayton Police assisted the four Troopers on scene.
