A head-on collision killed a Sunrise Beach man and injured three others on Monday afternoon in Camden County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2014 Dodge Journey, driven by a 37-year-old man from Sunrise Beach was on Route F, 860 feet north of Rockdale Drive around 4 p.m., when the Dodge crossed the center line after exiting a curve and struck a southbound 2010 Chrysler Town & Country, driven by a 50-year-old woman from Sunrise Beach, head-on.

The driver of the Dodge was pronounced deceased on scene by Medical Examiner Drew Hall at 5 p.m. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report. The body was taken to Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton.

Injured in the Chrysler were the driver with moderate injuries, a 12-year-old girl with serious injuries and a 14-year-old girl with minor injuries. The 12-year-old was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed by Bledsoe’s Automotive.

Sunrise Beach Police and Camden County Deputies assisted the five Troopers on scene.
