Three Injured In Four-Car Morgan County Crash
Three people were injured in a four-car collision that occurred Monday afternoon in Morgan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that two southbound vehicles were stopped in traffic on Highway 5 just north of the Santa Fe Trail around 4:45 p.m. A 2008 Dodge Ram was waiting to turn left, with a 2016 Ford Escape right behind it, when the front of a southbound 2012 Chevy Cruze, driven by 24-year-old Dakota W. Coons of Boonville, struck the Ford. The Cruze then crossed the center of the roadway and struck a northbound 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by 59-year-old Michael D. Kreutzer of Gravois Mills. The front of the Ford then struck the rear of the Dodge, driven by 21-year-old Clive Smith of Windsor.
Coons suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Lake Regional Hospital by Mid-Mo Ambulance. Kreutzer suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Lake Regional by Lake West Ambulance. The driver of the Ford, 28-year-old Stacey L. Morris of Sunrise Beach, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Lake Regional by private vehicle.
The Doge had minor damage, the Ford had moderate damage, and the Chevy and Jeep were totaled.
