Three Killed in Benton County Crash
Three people were killed in a Benton County crash that occurred Wednesday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2002 Mercury driven by 20-year-old Richard P. Davis of Fort Dodge, Iowa was on Missouri 7, south of Route M at 8 a.m, when the driver failed to negotiate a curve traveled off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
Davis and his passengers, 18-year-old Matayah I. McLouglin, and a 14-year-old male juvenile, all of Fort Dodge, Iowa were all killed in the accident. None were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, according to the report. The bodies were transported to the Boone County Medical Examiner's Office by the Benton County Coroner.
The Mercury was totaled.
A total of five Troopers were on scene.
