Three teens, including one from Sedalia, were injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred in Benton County Friday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound Chevy Malibu, driven by 19-year-old Trevor L. Allen of Springfield, was traveling on Highway 7 at Highway 65 at 5:25 p.m., when the driver left the roadway to avoid hitting a turning vehicle and struck barriers, coming to rest on the right side of the road.

Allen suffered minor injuries. Two female passengers, 18-year-old Jayden A. Eielby of Marshfield, suffered minor injuries, and 18-year-old Carlee M. Hays of Sedalia, suffered moderate injuries. All three were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance. All three were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Malibu had moderate damage, and was towed.

Benton County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
