Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of KC Man Wanted on $100,000 Warrant
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near 20th and Limit at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday on a vehicle with no working license plate lights.
According to a report, the driver pulled into the Centennial Gate entrance of the Missouri State Fair when the officer initiated the stop, but then the driver fled and led police on a short foot chase.
Once captured, the driver, identified as 23-year-old Cole Duane Summers of Kansas City, Mo., was was found to be in possession of marijuana, and was also driving while suspended. Summers was wanted on a no-bond warrant, and a $100,000 security warrant. He was also charged with felony resisting arrest.
Summers was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.
