Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges for Warrensburg Man

On Monday night (Dec 31), Johnson County authorities arrested a 41-year old Warrensburg man on drug charges after a foot pursuit.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office says narcotics detectives initiated a traffic in the 200 block of SE MO-13.

As the vehicle came to rest, the driver, 41-year old Cecil Dwight Henry II, reportedly exited the vehicle and fled on foot. During the foot pursuit, a taser was deployed and Henry was taken into custody.

He was placed on a twenty-four hold for delivery of a controlled substance – possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest/detention/stop.
