On Wednesday at 10:58 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to 701 South Ohio for a report of a subject on a bicycle being chased by a subject on foot with a board.

Officers quickly arrived on scene and located the suspect. The suspect became uncooperative and a physical altercation ensued. Officers were able to subdue the suspect and take him into custody.

47-year-old Travis Lee Brown was then placed in a WRAP restraint for his own safety and the safety of others on scene. During deployment of the WRAP, an officer was assaulted by Brown. Brown was then placed in the back of a patrol vehicle and transported to BRHC for a fit-for-confinement check, then on to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.

Brown now faces charges of 2nd degree assault, armed criminal action, felony resisting arrest, and 4th degree assault on a LEO.

His bond was set at $10,000. He now has a court date of Oct. 28.
