Two Injured in Pettis County Rollover

Two people were injured in a rollover accident that occurred Monday afternoon in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2001 Chevy Suburban was northbound on 127 at 1:02 p.m., when an eastbound 2002 Chevy Cavalier, driven by 23-year-old Alexandria R. Weiss of Leeton, entered the intersection of Y and 127 and struck the Suburban in the side.

Both vehicles traveled off the road. The Suburban struck a fence post, overturned, and came to rest on its wheels.

The driver of the Suburban, 47-year-old William E. Everett of La Monte, and Weiss, suffered minor injuries and were transported to area hospitals. Everett was taken to Bothwell, while Weiss was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center by PCAD.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Cavalier had moderate damage, while the Suburban had extensive damage.

Pettis County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
