Two Injured in Rear-end Collision on US 65

Two people suffered minor injuries as a result of a two-vehicle crash in Pettis County on Tuesday morning.

The MSHP reported that a southbound 2014 Hyundai Sonata driven by 35-year-old William A. Donahue of Boonville rear-ended a southbound 1996 Dodge 1500 driven by 24-year-old Wyatt C. Payne of Sedalia at 9:45 a.m. on US 65 at Angus Road. The Dodge was slowing to make a left-hand turn into the median crossover. The Dodge slid off the left side of the road, while the Sonata came to rest in the left lane.

Both drivers, who were wearing a safety device, had minor injuries. Donahue was treated at the scene and released, while Payne refused treatment at the scene.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by Don's Towing.
