Two Marshall residents were injured Friday evening in a Saline County crash.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2004
Mitsubishi, driven by 49-year-old Edelin A. Garcia of Marshall, failed to yield while merging onto US 65 from private drive at 19254 US 65 at 6:30 p.m., and struck a northbound 2015 Jeep driven by 31-year-old Morgan N. Renfrow of Marshall.

Garcia suffered serious injuries, while his passenger, 36-year-old Walter U. Aguilar-Guzman of Marshall, suffered moderate injuries. Garcia was transported to University Hospital, while Aguilar-Guzman was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital. Neither were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene.

Marshall Police and Saline County Deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
