Two Sedalians Injured in Pettis County Wreck

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred in Pettis County Monday night.

According to the MSHP, 28-year-old Patricia E. Gullett of Sedalia was the driver of a northbound 2005 Chevy on US 65, 380 feet north of Route BB, when she attempted to make a left turn from the right lane, entering the path of a northbound 2012 Toyota driven by 16-year-old Dennis V. Melnichuk of Houstonia, when the two collided at 7:55 p.m. April 22.

Gullett suffered serious injuries and was transported by PCAD to University of Missouri Hospital. Her passenger, 26-year-old Gatlyn D. Wade of Sedalia, suffered minor injuries and was taken to University of Missouri by private vehicle. Both were not wearing a safety device, the report said.

The Chevy was totaled and towed from the scene by In Motion Towing.

Pettis County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
