Two Sedalians were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred at Highway 50 and Route W early Tuesday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a northbound 2006 Chevy Silverado, driven by 68-year-old Shelly R. Goodson of Sedalia, failed to yield while making a left turn, to an eastbound 2003 Pontiac Sunfire, driven by 46-year-old Layard W. Taylor of Sedalia. The Silverado was then struck by the Sunfire at 5:44 a.m.

Both drivers suffered moderate injuries, and were transported to Bothwell Regional Center for treatment.

Goodson was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash, while Taylor was not, according to the report.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.

Pettis County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
