Two Sedalians Injured When BMW Strikes Tree
Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday night in Pettis County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound 2011 BMW driven by 20-year-old Jesus Rubio of Sedalia, failed to negotiate a curve on Askew Road, east of Route 127 at 8:35 p.m., and ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Rubio suffered minor injuries, while his passenger, a 15-year-old juvenile female, suffered moderate injuries. Both were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for treatment.
The BMW was totaled and towed from the scene.
Rubio was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, while the juvenile was not, according to the MSHP report.
