Two Warrensburg Women Injured in Rollover After Driver Falls Asleep
Two Warrensburg residents were injured after the driver fell asleep on Thursday afternoon in Johnson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when the driver of an eastbound 2011 Nissan, driven by 76-year-old Constance L. Siever of Warrensburg, fell asleep at the wheel on Highway 50 near Blackwater at 1:17 p.m.. The Nissan traveled off the right side of the roadway, crossed a county road, traveled down an embankment, struck a tree and overturned.
Siever and her passenger, 23-year-old Alexandrea C. Delos Reyes of Warrensburg, both suffered minor injuries and were transported by private party to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment. Both were wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
The Nissan was totaled.
