Two women were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Henry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2006 Hyundai, driven by 63-year-old Sherry L. Terry of Cross Timbers, was on Missouri 13 attempting to make a left turn onto Highway Z at 2:15 p.m., when she pulled into the path of a northbound 2007 Mazda, driven by 22-year-old Katherine J. Tinklepaugh of Monett, causing the vehicles to strike.

Terry suffered moderate injuries, and was transported by EMS to Golden Valley Hospital for treatment. Tinklepaugh suffered serious injuries and was flown to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by air ambulance.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Hyundai had extensive damage, while the Mazda was totaled.

Henry County Deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
