A Clinton man was injured in a UTV accident that occurred Saturday night in Henry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2002 Polaris Ranger 1000, driven by 36-year-old Chance W. Barnhart of Clinton, was on Northeast 501 Road, just south of State Route YY at 7:30 p.m., when the driver lost control of the UTV, and it ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned, partially ejecting the driver.

Barnhart was transported by his wife to Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton with serious injuries.

Barnhart was later arrested by the Patrol at 8:20 p.m., and charged with driving while intoxicated, and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
