A Warrensburg woman was moderately injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday afternoon in Jackson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a southbound 2006 Mazda 6 driven by 34-year-old Charmaine A. Ernst of Lone Jack failed to yield at 12:20 p.m. and pulled into the path of an eastbound 2003 Ford Focus driven by 23-year-old Taylor D. Paxton of Raytown on US 50 at Lovers Lane.

An occupant of the Focus, 21-year-old Amber M. Messina of Warrensburg, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence. Taylor suffered minor injuries and was also transported to Centerpoint. All were wearing safety devices, according to the report.

Both vehicles were totaled in the crash. Lone Jack Police assisted the Patrol at the scene.
