Two Warsaw residents were killed in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Friday afternoon in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Kurt B. Eisinger, 62, of Warsaw, was the driver of a westbound 2003 Ford F-150 on Highway H, east of Heits Point Avenue at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 15, when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and returned to the road. The Ford then traveled off the left side, struck a rock cliff and overturned.

Killed in the crash were occupants Johnnie R. Adams, 64, and Barbara S. Adams, 66, both of Warsaw. They were pronounced dead on the scene by Benton County Deputy Coroner Miller at 2:55 p.m.

Eisinger was reportedly uninjured. However, he was arrested by the Patrol and charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter, driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child. Eisinger was taken to the Benton County Jail.

Five-year-old occupant Rodney Pettis of Sedalia, suffered minor injuries and was transported by Warsaw Fire to Bothwell Regional Health Center for evaluation.

The bodies of Johnnie and Barbara Adams were taken to Reser's Funeral Home by the Benton County deputy coroner.

The Ford was totaled and towed from the crash scene. According to the report, none of the occupants were wearing a safety device.

The Benton County Sheriff's Department assisted the seven Troopers at the scene.
