A Warsaw man was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday morning in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2006 Pontiac, driven by 62-year-old Greg D. Kirby of Warsaw, was on US 65, north of the West Dam Access Road at 9:50 a.m., when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, crossing the northbound lanes and impacting a rock embankment, causing the Pontiac to overturn.

Kirby suffered serious injuries, and was transported by University of Missouri Air Ambulance to the University of Missouri for treatment. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Pontiac was totaled.
