A Warsaw man was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday morning in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2013 Chevy, driven by 91-year-old Carl J. Chamberlain of Warsaw, approached a southbound 2013 Dodge, which was stopped in traffic with emergency equipment displayed, on Missouri Route T at Bridge number 238, at 9:20 a.m. The driver applied the brakes, attempting to avoid hitting the Dodge, but was unsuccessful and struck the rear of it.

Chamberlain suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to Golden Valley Hospital by EMS for treatment.

The driver of the Dodge, 33-year-old Davin D. Werths of Clinton, was reportedly uninjured.

Both vehicles had moderate damage.

Benton County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
