Waverly Man Dies After Falling Out Of Pickup
A Waverly man was killed in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday morning in Johnson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2004 Ford F-150, driven by 40-year-old Robert E. Long of Kansas City, was southbound on Missouri 13, a quarter mile north of SE 650 (south of Warrensburg) sometime around 7:30 a.m., when a passenger in the bed of the truck, 54-year-old Burnie G. Jordan of Waverly, fell out and struck the pavement.
Jordan was flown by Life Flight to Research Medical Center and later pronounced dead at 9:29 a.m., by Dr. Kyle Harken.
