A Sedalia man was involved in a two-car crash that injured a Kansas City woman in Morgan County Saturday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol report that a westbound 2006 Lincoln Town Car, driven by 86-year-old Benjamin P. Sherr of Sedalia, was on US 50, 2608 feet west of old Route 50 at 9:05 a.m., when he lost traction on the wet pavement and collided with an eastbound 2013 Chevy Traverse, driven by 33-year-old Karla M. Young of Kansas City.

Young suffered minor injuries, and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Mid-Mo Ambulance for treatment. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The Chevy had extensive damage, while the Lincoln was totaled.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.
