31-year-old Sedalia man arrested in a suspected theft in Marshall area

On Wednesday the Marshall Police Department informed the Sedalia Police about a theft, and gave them a description of the suspect. Just before 5pm Wednesday evening officers observed the suspect walking in the area of 7th and Ohio. The Sedalia Police report states 31-year-old Joshua J. Corpier of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail, and placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

Booneslick Library reports a case of vandalism and property damage Wednesday

At 5:08 Wednesday evening a complainant with Booneslick Library here in Sedalia reported a case of vandalism and property damage to the Sedalia Police. According to the complainant someone put human feces in the book drop box. The police report states there are several leads in the case, and they are being followed up on.

A case of identity theft and fraud are being investigated by the Sedalia Police

Around 1pm Thursday afternoon a female victim reported a case of fraud to the Sedalia Police. According to the victim she received a call from a collection agency in reference to a delinquent utility bill in Kansas City. The woman told the police she had never had utilities in her name in Kansas City. There was no further information on the case in the police report.

Thief makes off with a box trailer belonging to the Boys and Girls Club

Thursday morning a complainant with the local boys and girls club reported an 8’ white box trailer belonging to the club had been stolen sometime overnight. The trailer reportedly has no decals on it. There are no suspects at news time, but the theft is under investigation.

Pittbull Dog stolen from a fenced in back yard on South Ohio

At 10am Thursday morning a victim in the 1300 block of South Ohio reported a Pittbull Dog valued at $350 was stolen from  their fenced in back yard. There were no suspects at news time.
