22-year-old Sedalia man arrested on an active warrant Wednesday

Around 1:36pm Wednesday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to the area of 15th and Osage on a suspect with an active warrant. Upon arrival officers made contact with 22-year-old Samuel Perez Jr. A check through dispatch confirmed the warrant on Perez. At the time of the police report he was in the Pettis County Jail pending a $100,000 bond for failure to appear on the Pettis County warrant.

Traffic stop early Thursday morning results in drug related charges

At 1:50 Thursday morning the Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Howard and Randolph Avenue on a vehicle with a temporary tag. Upon contact with the occupants in the vehicle the officer reportedly detected the odor of marijuana, and perfume that had been sprayed in the vehicle. Arrested at the scene was 34-year-old David E. Taylor of Sedalia. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending drug related charges.

Sedalia man arrested on a Pettis County warrant Tuesday afternoon

Just after 12:30pm Tuesday afternoon Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 400 block of Mettalic Drive. Upon arrival officers made contact with the suspect 31-year-old Elmer J. Miley Jr. A check on the suspect revealed he had an active failure to appear warrant out of Pettis County. Miley was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $150 bond.

Sedalia Police arrest a man on a warrant and possession charge

Around 10:10 Wednesday morning Sedalia Police arrested 28-year-old Bradley A. Lee of Sedalia at 6th and Engineer on an active Johnson County warrant. He was also found to be in possession of a marijuana pipe, and some small baggies. At the time of the police report he was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail with a $300 cash only bond on the warrant, and pending possession of drug paraphernalia charges.

Three teens arrested at Walmart for attempting to steal cosmetics

Tuesday evening Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Walmart Store to arrest three teens, who had reportedly attempted to steal around $29 worth of cosmetics. The suspects were two 17-year-old females, and the third female was 18. The police report states the three Sedalia girls were given summonses, and court dates on a charge of stealing.

47-year-old Sedalia man taken into protective custody Wednesday

At 8pm Wednesday night Sedalia Police took a 47-year-old Sedalia man into protective custody in Katy Park, whom they said was suicidal. The man was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County Ambulance for treatment.

The Sedalia Police investigated a broken window in an apartment in the 700 block of South Ohio Wednesday. The owner estimated replacement would cost about $300. There were no suspects at news time.

Casey’s at 3050 South Limit reported a $40.25 gas drive off early Thursday morning.
