Poker Run to Benefit Sedalia Police Department
The organization, Jeeps Against Veteran Suicide, will host a Poker Run on Sunday, October 22, to benefit the Sedalia Police Department.
According to the City of Sedalia website, the benefit is a way to raise money for the Sedalia Police Department to purchase bullet proof vests and safety gear.
The Poker Run will begin at the Sedalia Police Station, with registration at 9:30 a.m.
The cost is $25.00 for one driver (player) or $30.00 for two players.The Poker Run then takes place from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. The points include Yeager’s Cycle, Wal-Mart, Warehouse Tire, Bryant Motors, and Steak n’ Shake. Players will then meet back at the Sedalia Police Station at 11:30 a.m.
The Benefit Ride then begins at 11:45 a.m., ending at the Pettis County Courthouse. Participants in both the Poker Run and the Benefit Ride must have a wristband, and ribbon on their vehicle.
The City says All cars are welcome to attend. There will be an auction, raffles, DJ, car show, and a 50/50 drawing as part of the event. Awards will also be presented for high and low hands.

The Police Department is located at 2nd Street and Osage Ave. in Downtown Sedalia.
A press release for the event says the ride will stay in Sedalia City Limits and police department is helping with the ride.
